Triathlon Coach

Background:
Coach Jim Brown is an Ironman age group Champion (Louisville, 2015) and a 2016 Ironman World Championship qualifier and finisher (Kailua-Kona, Hawaii). In 2017, Coach Jim qualified for the Boston Marathon and will compete in the 2018 running of the event. Jim is also a USA Triathlon and American Swimming Coaches Association certified coach with more than 15 years coaching and racing experience. Coach Jim leverages his academic training (Masters of Science degree) and experience as a professional scientist to custom design effective athlete development plans aimed at optimizing performance while minimizing injury risks. He coaches beginners through elite level athletes and enjoys working with all ability levels. As a former collegiate swimmer, Coach Jim excels in improving swimming form, power and speed. One of his former swimmers went on to become an Olympic Gold medalist!

Philosophy:
"Train Smarter, Race Faster" is the cornerstone of his coaching philosophy. Jim meets regularly with all of his athletes for one-on-one and small group training sessions to ensure efficient form, power, and race execution skills. Jim specializes in designing low volume, high performance training programs to enhance race day performance.

Triathlon Coaching: $200 per month, no start up fees. Discounts for full season athletes. Unlimited phone and e-mail contact. Consulting: $75 per hour
